What a whirlwind year for Maylands Church situated right in the heart of Maylands on busy 8th Ave. Since beginning in March 2015 we have been shaking away the cobwebs and warmly welcoming a variety of young families, professionals and mature community members, re-establishing the idea of a local church in Maylands.

We have a vision for outreach into the local community and was excited to be invited to have a stall at the local Hawkers Markets on Saturday 5th March. This gave the church an opportunity to serve the children of the community with balloon animals and chocolate eggs, whilst sharing with the adults about the launch happening the very next day. Within a couple of hours there were a sea of balloons bobbing around the park and rich conversation with those interested in visiting or returning to church.

The morning of the the launch service arrived and what joy and encouragement to see such wonderful support from our congregation, family and friends filling up the sanctuary. Seeing the sanctuary full of joyful faces was a wonderful vision of the future to come, spurring us on to continue to listen and respond as Jesus leads. Please continue to pray for us as we move forward in anticipation of the Lords plan unfolding for Maylands.
