Churches of Christ Insurance is ready to process your claim with ease and efficiency, restoring your community to working order as soon as possible.

 

Churches of Christ Insurance is a national program that provides considerable benefits to
each State Conference of Churches of Christ. Combining the insurance needs across
churches and related ministry organisations means that we can achieve significant cost
savings and provide a robust suite of cover. The direct benefit to Churches of Christ in
Western Australia is that we are able to fund operational support services to churches (and
not increase affiliation fees which have remained constant since 2006) as a result of
managing our own self-insured scheme.

 

The insurance scheme encompasses the following policies:

  • Property Damage (ISR) covering both Material Damage and Business Interruption
  • Public Liability
  • Professional Indemnity
  • Management Liability
  • Crime
  • Personal Accident for Volunteers and Youth
  • Personal Accident for Ministers
  • Cyber Liability
  • Travel

SUMMARY OF INSURANCE

For Property Claims

 

Under $5000:

  • Take photos of the damage occurred
  • Report burglary, theft or malicious damage to the Police
  • Obtain and include the Incident Report Number from Police
  • Organise the repair or replacement (replacement needs to be done on a like for like basis and at least two quotes required)
  • Complete a claim form and attach copies of paid invoice/receipt, photos, Incident Report Number. Email to Jo Ellery on jo.ellery@cocwa.com.au (in office on Tues & Weds)
  • COCWA will refund the invoice cost, less GST, less $400 excess

Over $5000:

  • Take photos of the damage occurred
  • Fill in the claim form
  • Report burglary, theft or malicious damage to the Police and obtain an Incident Report Number.
  • Email the claim and relevant attachments (as above) to Josh Leauanae at hello@cofcinsurance.org.au
  • Churches of Christ Insurance will then arrange for an Assessor to come and assess further steps of action
