Real Women, Real Faith

Carnarvon 4

Last month Carnarvon Church of Christ hosted a ladies high tea called Real Women, Real Faith:

Along with enjoying a lovely tea and delicate treats for the afternoon, we gave five women the opportunity to share how God has impacted their lives.  God was glorified in these short stories as ladies shared how the power of Jesus released them from the bondage of unforgiveness and the struggles of depression.  The blessing of knowing contentment in all things and releasing control of our lives to God was a strong theme.  We had 51 ladies attend and it was a great platform for ladies to connect with one another in a seeker friendly environment.

On Sunday 29th November, we celebrated our Thanksgiving Day.  This was an opportunity for people of our congregation to be specific in their thanksgiving to God for all He had blessed them in the past year. We gave God praise and thanks by creating a Wall of Thanksgiving, where adults wrote messages of thanksgiving and the children had drawn pictures to share with the congregation  and pin on the wall. We shared in a prayer time and we were then able to give back to God with a thanksgiving offering. We finished our Thanksgiving Celebration over a delicious long table lunch together.
