Whats Happening in Norseman

Theme Graphic.001

Norseman have started the year 2016 without a Pastor for the Norseman Community Church. We are praying and asking that God will guide us and show just what He would have us do with this situation. One option for the present would be for fortnightly speakers from Esperance to travel to Norseman and take a morning service.

Just prior to Christmas we had two happy events take place. Late in November Sonny Graham baptised three young people in the sea here in Esperance. Kyle and Demi Wicker a young married couple and Walter Wicker. Three weeks later We had a baptism in Norseman and a young man Ashley Simpson was baptised by Pastor Kevin Tucker. The three young men all attended the Norseman Sunday School in their younger days.

On December the 8th the Norseman Sunday School had their breakup and Christmas party. A wonderful time of receiving presents and eating was enjoyed by us all. Dalkieth Road Church had lovingly filled shoe boxes with all kinds of gifts for the children and they were so nicely done up and filled with all manner of things from toys to clothing. The children and young people were very thrilled to receive their gifts. A huge thank you to all the people involved at Dalkieth Road church in sending the boxes. Your ministry was very much appreciated.

We also said farewell to Debbie and Kevin Tucker on the same day. Presentations were given to them in appreciation of their five years of ministry in Norseman, from December the 30th until Jan the 9th.

Sonny and Frances Graham attended the 40th year celebrations of the Australian Evangelical Fellowship which was held in Port Augusta SA. Sonny was one of the original group of twelve men who were on the first committee. Of the six men elected from WA there are only three left and three from the East. They had a wonderful time of christian teaching, meeting old friends and meeting people that they had only heard of by name. One of the things that we were encouraged by was the number of young indigenous people who are now taking a vital part in the organisation.
